The jaguar is a threatened species. The jaguar is the largest and most powerful wild cat of the western hemisphere. They are located in Mexico and South America. This includes the black jaguar. The areas they hang around in are forests, shrubby areas, grasslands, and wherever they can safely hide. The jaguar has golden fur with dark blackish spots. It can grow five to eight in a half long and weighs 150-300 pounds. The jaguar eats basically any kind of animal like wild pigs, fish, and turtles, They mainly hunt on ground at night.
Male and female jaguars only live together during the mating season. Pregnancy lasts 95-110 days. There are two, three, or four baby jaguars per liter. At age four, the jaguar is full adult sized. The first two years of their lives, they learn to hunt with their mother.
