PARIS – Repairs to a railroad crossing on Main Street will detour traffic on Sunday and Monday.
Town Manager Sharon Jackson said the St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad will take out the tracks at the Main Street crossing and replace them to prevent potholes and other problems at the site. The crossing has been repaired with patch before, but rain washes it away, she said.
Traffic will be diverted along Western Avenue and Gothic Street. Vehicles may still get to Market Square and other points along Main Street via the detour.
Work is expected to begin at 6 a.m. Sunday and last until about 3 p.m. Monday.
