OXFORD – On Friday, members of the Skateboard Park Planning Committee will consider names for a community skateboard park, which may be built this year.

The group also will discuss ongoing fund-raising efforts, including plans for a skate park logo design contest and the sale of skateboards.

Members are continuing to solicit donations of labor and materials to offset the cost of the proposed 7,600-square-foot park.

The meeting will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the boardroom at the Oxford Hills School District office in Oxford Plaza on Route 26.
