NORWAY – There will be a Public Interest Forum offered at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at the Norway Public Library on Main Street. The topic will be “Schools: Are Changes Needed?”

The public, especially students, are welcome to attend and discuss challenges for educators today with some local teachers, including Harry Bennett, Reinaldo Cortez, Martha McLean, Stephen Ray, Wendy Simpson and Jason Trask.

Among the issues that may be discussed are: The role of classroom teachers; the role of schools in a society that’s falling apart; teaching as a subversive activity; and No Child Left Behind.
