Incident Report Statistics
Between Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 6 a.m. and Monday, Oct. 13 at 6 a.m. the town of Rumford patrol officers responded to 77 complaints.
Assault
On Oct. 8 at 11:45 a.m., a 10-year-old male juvenile was referred to Juvenile Intake after alledgedly assaulting a teacher at school.
On Oct. 10 at 6:57 p.m., a reported assault took place on Knox Street. No charges pressed and subjects warned to stay away from each other.
On Oct. 11 at 1:32 a.m., Tara Roy, 29, of Mexico, was arrested on charges of Domestic Assault and Operating Under the Influence after an altercation with her boyfriend on Waldo Street.
On Oct. 12 at 5 a.m., a reported assault took place in front of a vehicle while leaving a Rumford bar. Victim is from out of town and requested to come in and fill out statements.
Burglary
On Oct. 8 at 6:54 a.m., the Pennacook School reported the school had been broken into and an Apple laptop valued at $1,000 had been stolen. CID investigated, recovered the laptop and 13-year- and 16-year-old male juveniles were arrested on charges of Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief.
Criminal Mischief
On Oct. 8 at 2:17 p.m., a Peru resident reported a lock was jimmied open on his camp in Rumford. Nothing appeared to be taken.
On Oct. 11 at 1:01 a.m., a Peru resident reported her ex-boyfriend, who has bail conditions to stay away from her, was on Hancock Street harassing her again and did approximately $1,000 in damage to her truck. Charges pending.
Disorderly Conduct
On Oct. 12 at 1:15 a.m., Frank Hamel, 38, of Mexico, was arrested after engaging in a fight in front of a Rumford bar.
Criminal Trespass
On Oct. 9 at 8:07 a.m., a York Street resident reported an intoxicated and unwanted subject. Officer arrived and advised the subject to leave and warnings were issued.
Operating After Suspension
On Oct. 10 at 10:44 a.m., Chad Bryant, 31, of Milton Township, was summonsed on Franklin Street after a stop sign violation. His passenger, Pamela Meader, 53, of Dixfield, was charged with Allowing Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Possession of Suspended License
On Oct. 10 at 7:50 p.m., Justin Merchant, 20, of Bryant Pond, was arrested on charges of being in possession of a suspended license and violation of conditions of release on Oxford Avenue.
Sex Offender
Phillip Zinck, 45, has a conviction for Gross Sexual Misconduct and Unlawful Sexual Contact.
Theft
On Oct. 4 at 1:32 a.m., a Route 2 resident reported his $1,200 utility trailer stolen.
On Oct. 7 at 12:42 p.m., a Rumford business reported the theft of a $75 ladder. The ladder was recovered by an investigating officer and charges are likely.
On Oct. 7 at 6 p.m., a Hancock Street resident reported his $200 bicycle stolen some time in the last week from outside his residence.
On Oct. 8 at 11 a.m., a Somerset Street resident reported her registration plates stolen from her vehicle.
On Oct. 12 at 4:30 a.m., a Mexico resident reported his $20 Trac phone stolen sometime during the evening.
On Oct. 12 at 10:25 a.m., a Hancock Street resident reported theft of a political sign off his front lawn. Estimated value of sign listed at $25.
Violation Conditions of Release
On Oct. 10 at 5:20 p.m., the department received a report of a possible fight on Waldo Street near Strafford Avenue. A Peru resident reported her ex-boyfriend, who has bail conditions to stay away from her, was harassing her. Joshua Mayo, 29, of Peru and Rumford was arrested and charged with another incident later in the evening.
Violation Protection Order
On Oct. 12 at 4:34 a.m., a Rangeley Place resident reported a violation of her protection order. Paperwork will be submitted to the district attorney’s office for review of charges.

Christina Eaton, 33, of Peru, remains wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of a motor vehicle offense and negotiating a worthless instrument.
Marc Chartier Jr., 31, of Andover, is wanted on a 2008 warrant for failure to appear on a charge of domestict violence assault.
Tiffany Jamison-Burlingame, 24, of Newry, is wanted on a warrant for Failure to Appear on a Disorderly Conduct charge.
