RUMFORD – The Friends of The Pennacook Art Center received a $1,000 grant from the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition to market the arts and artists of the area by producing several half-hour made-for-TV programs titled Meet the Artists.
The programs will feature four local visual artists, and will be broadcast locally on cable and around the Mid-Coast area of Maine.
The programs will also include participation by the local community.
This grant is made possible from the Bureau of Health, Community Healthy Promotion Program.
Meet the Artists is a co-production of The Friends of The Pennacook Art Center and advertising agency Briggs ADV of Bath. The mission of this non-profit group, founded in 2004, is to enhance the arts in the River Valley area and beyond, and to promote innovative, contemporary works by emerging and established artists. Major donors to this project are: The River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition, Briggs ADV and Cissel Enterprises LLC.
