LEWISTON — The new Lewiston/Central Maine chapter of Connected Catholics of Maine
will hold a social at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in the basement of the Prince of Peace Parish
Center, 16 Ste. Croix St. All Catholic singles, whether divorced, widowed or never married, ages 35 and up are welcome to attend to share ideas, meet fellow members and plan for 2010.

Craft fair
GREENE — The Universalist Church of Greene, Route 202, will hold its
annual Christmas Angels Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. There will be crafts,
baked goods, swags, gift baskets, and raffle and white elephant
tables.
The Sunday School children will be raising money for the Heifer
Project by selling some crafts, toys, baked goods, hot chocolate and
hot apple cider.
Christmas fair
NEW GLOUCESTER — The Sabbathday Lake Grange will
be hold its annual Christmas Fair and Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. There
will be crafts, cooked foods, cutlery, white elephant, books and gift items. There will be raffles and a light lunch will be
available. The hall is located on Sabbathday Road, off
Route 26.
Bottle drive
TURNER — The Leavitt Area High School ski team will hold a bottle drive on Saturday, Dec. 5, in Turner, Leeds and Greene. A group of about 70 athletes will be knocking on doors for bottles and cans for the ski team fund drive for upcoming
activities. Bottles may also be dropped off at Schrep’s Bottle Redemption or call Jan Wiegman
at 524-3195 or Rene Gaudette at 966-2212 to arrange a pickup.
Club party
AUBURN — The Immaculate Heart of Mary Golden Age Club Christmas party will be held at noon Tuesday, Dec. 15, in the Sacred Heart Church Hall. The cost of the meal is $13.99. The meal must be paid for
by Wednesday, Dec. 9.
For reservations, call Paula at 576-4082, see her in the church hall from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 9 or at Mass. Members are asked to bring a gift of no more than $10 for the Chinese auction to take place after the meal.
Nonperishable items will also be collected for the food pantry.
