WILTON – A Wilton man was charged with unlawful sexual contact for allegedly touching a 16-year-old girl unlawfully.

Franklin County Detective David St. Laurent said he arrested Scott Collins, 34, on Friday after interviewing the girl and witnesses. The detective was called in by Wilton police to assist with the case.

The incident allegedly happened in July 2003, St. Laurent said. Collins posted $3,000 unsecured bail and was released from jail the same day he was arrested.

He is scheduled to appear April 28 in Farmington District Court.
