CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – The paroled child killer causing an uproar in New Hampshire spent the day looking for a job in Concord.

WMUR-TV briefly interviewed 60-year-old Raymond Guay after spotting him on a downtown sidewalk. He told the reporter that he is wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet and calls police every time he leaves Chichester, where he is living with a pastor’s family.

Guay says he understands the public’s fears, but he is a changed man. He said he had a job he enjoyed in Connecticut but had no choice to comply with a judge’s order that he serve his supervised release in New Hampshire.

Guay killed a Nashua boy in 1973 and kidnapped a Concord couple during a prison escape in 1982.
