BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) – A Bridgeport man is under arrest after driving his motorboat into a breaker wall in Bridgeport harbor early Sunday morning, injuring his three passengers.

Forty-one-year-old Dexter Dennis has been charged with boating under the influence. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11.

The Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Coast Guard say Dennis and his friends were heading out for a blue fish tournament shortly after midnight when the 26-foot cuddy cabin motorboat struck the east breaker wall in outer Bridgeport harbor.

Dennis’ passengers, all from Bridgeport, were taken to Bridgeport Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, including possible broken bones. No one was ejected from the boat, which was found on the rocks.
