LISBON — Rosella Elizabeth Garry-VanOrman, 50, went into our loving father’s embrace at the Denver VA Hospital in Colorado, with family by her side. She lived in Denver for two years with her husband, Jack, and her tried-and-true, furry friend, Tyson.

Rose joined the U.S. Navy at 17 years old, and was stationed on the USS Yellowstone AD-41, where she made lifelong friends that meant the world to her. She traveled extensively in her life, and always had a story to share about her experiences. Life was never boring for this young lady.

Rose was born in Orlando, Florida, on Nov. 28, 1967, and spent her younger years in Lisbon, Maine, which she considered her home.

She was predeceased by her father, Master Chief David M. Garry, and her maternal grandmother, Betty Maxine Hartman. She is survived by her sons:Matthew Anctil and fiancee, Samantha, and granddaughter, Avery, of Auburn, and Nathan Anctil of Lisbon; her mother, Karin M. Pruell, and husband, Stan, of Lisbon; her sisters Val Hillman of Emden, Lisa Boulley of Lewiston and Dawn Hagan of Topsham; stepsisters Michelle Rancourt of Buxton and Lisa Lewis of Florida.

Fair Winds and Following Seas!
