TURNER – A Livermore man injured when his Jeep collided with a truck on Route 4 on Tuesday remained in critical condition Wednesday night.
Police said 46-year-old Barry Peacock suffered life-threatening injuries when his Jeep crossed the center line and collided with a delivery truck.
Peacock was treated by paramedics from Turner Rescue before he was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where he remained Wednesday.
Peacock’s wife Patricia, 52, was treated for minor injuries suffered in the wreck and later released. The driver of the truck, 49-year-old Cornelius Ware of Leeds, was also treated for minor injuries.
Maine State Police are investigating the crash. A trooper said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors, but they are trying to determine what caused Peacock’s vehicle to cross into oncoming traffic.
