AUBURN – The local chapter of the United Bikers of Maine will host a bike show and barbecue at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 16, at the Wal-Mart parking lot.

The show will include a slow-ride contest, an obstacle course and judging of bikes. Ballots will be available for $1 to vote on seven categories of bikes, including American, custom, sport, foreign, antique, three-wheel and sportster. Bikers will pay a $5 entry fee. Admission is free to the public.

Wal-Mart will hold a barbecue during the bike show. Hamburgers, hot dogs and sodas will be on sale.

Proceeds from the show, the balloting and the barbecue all will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids by raising money for 170 children’s hospitals across North America.
