LISBON — The Lisbon Historical Society will present a talk on DNA testing as it relates to genealogy  at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the MTM Center, 18 School Street in Lisbon Falls.

Society member Kathy Clavette, who has extensive training and experience in such testing regarding genealogy, will present “Exploring DNA testing – is it for me?”

“Researching roots with DNA can be a journey discovering genetic markers – creating new family connections,” she said in a news release.

The will provide a basic introduction to the types of testing available and the companies that offer services to explore genetic genealogy.

The talk is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The entrance to the society’s rooms is at the rear of the building, and parking is also available behind the building. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
