Destiny Davis, 17, of Lewiston gets the pampered treatment from stylist Christopher Dufour at the Madison Avenue Salon in Auburn on Monday. The salon had more than 15 youths having their hair done by six volunteer stylists. The event was sponsored by the Homeless Intervention Program and Volunteers of America Northern New England who assist displaced at-risk and in-transition youths with an array of social services from housing, food, education and employment opportunities. The teens were treated to pizza delivered from Pat’s Café in Portland. Zackary Terrio, 19, of Auburn got his first professional haircut.
