AUBURN — The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston will offer a lifeguard certification course from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, Feb. 15 through 19.

Participants must be at least age 15 before the end of the course, complete a 300-yard swim and retrieve a 10-pound training brick. Upon completion of the course, the lifeguarding and first aid certifications are valid for three years, and the CPR will expire after one year.

The course fee is $195 for YMCA members and $235 for nonmembers. Registration is now open, but class size is limited. There may also be space available for those needing to re-certify in CPR or lifeguard and first aid.
