END OF SUMMER HOORAH KICKS OFF AUGUST 27th

Do you enjoy the company of fellow show car and bike enthusiasts? Do you enjoy riding with a large group of motorcyclists through the western mountains? Or maybe you’d like to try your chances at the card table for a “Texas Hold-Em” night? If any of these sound like a good time to you, then we invite you to participate in the 5th annual End of Summer Hoorah being held at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Farmington on August 27, 28 and 29.

2010 promises to be our best year yet! We’ve made some changes and have included a Friday night event which will be the Chamber’s Texas Hold-Em night starting at 6 p.m. in the Beano Building at the fairgrounds! Also different this year will be the motorcycle event being held on Saturday. The Chamber plans on starting its 165-mile Raffle Run at 9 a.m. from the Fairgrounds after breakfast (arrive early, $$), but taking a much different route through the western mountains of Maine and into New Hampshire and back. Upon returning, there will be a pig roast, music and cash bar to sit and reflect upon the day’s event. We then look forward to Sunday’s return of the car and bike show (9 a.m.-2 p.m.) complete with great food, music, awards, and more at the fairgrounds. Three days, three different events, something for everybody!

All events are open to the public, events run rain or shine. Pig Roast is also open to the public with tickets available soon! Car/bike show pre-registration encouraged for a discount. Goody bags given to the first 100 participants. Event t-shirts are available to the general public by pre-order. Financial supporters are needed and welcome for this great weekend event, just contact the Chamber office for details.

Tickets are on sale now for the Texas Hold ‘Em Tourney – stop by the Chamber’s Welcome Center in Farmington at 248 Wilton Road, e-mail [email protected] or call 207-778-4215 for more information. Car/bike show registration forms are available on the Chamber’s website at: www.franklincountymaine.org
