Byron Glaus graduated cum laude from Emmanuel College, Boston, Mass., on May 8, with a degree in sociology. He is a 2006 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is the son of John Glaus and Prudence Scholfield of Rumford.

He was also recently named Academic All Conference in soccer by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, an honor which requires the student athlete to carry an overall grade point average of at least 3.25.
