RANGELEY – Nini Christensen will present a workshop entitled “Campfire Cooking” from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug 22. The event is part of the Natural Science Programs held at the Wilhelm Reich Museum. It will be an actual cooking demonstration, where Christensen will share some campfire basics and perhaps some fun secrets. It will be held rain or shine, though the location may change, and will be presented free of charge.

Christensen is a longtime resident of Rangeley, with her husband and two children. She works at the Rangeley Regional School and at the Ecopelagicon Nature Store. She and her family have extensive outdoor experience. She has been involved in helping children enjoy the outdoors over the years with Girl Scouts, Junior Guides, Ski School, Ecoventure and is currently a member of the Teens to Trails Association, which is dedicated to starting an outing club in every high school.

Participants should go directly to the museum, park and look for the trail marked “Tomb” on the left. The outdoor classroom is just out of sight in the woods. In case of rain or high winds, they should watch for signs directing them elsewhere, on the way to the museum.
