Community Partners Inc. of Lewiston signed up for another Day of Caring, the annual event organized by the United Way of Androscoggin County, to receive a full day of weeding and gardening help from employees of Electro Static Technology of Mechanic Falls. Despite the 95-degree heat, five employees showed up for a day of outdoor work. David Caron, Scott Clukey, Cheryl Perkins, Debbie Collin and General Manager William Oh pulled the overgrown weeds in and around the paved walkways bordering the nursing home. They also weeded and mulched the flowerbeds. CPI Program Manager Brad Peck, along with Social Services Coordinator Jennifer Staggs and Director of Nursing Doris Babbidge, supervised the project and provided plenty of water throughout the day and an indoor picnic lunch.
