NORWAY— A male jogger was struck by a car on Route 117 Tuesday afternoon, according to police officer John Lewis. James Douglas, 53, of Norway was transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway and then flown by LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center.
Kim Brown, 59, was driving toward Route 118 when her Ford Focus struck the jogger near the four-way intersection of Country Club and Old Stage roads, Lewis said.
Lewis did not know Douglas’ condition Tuesday night.
Route 117 from Country Club Road to Sodom Road was closed while emergency responders and police worked at the scene.
