Lindsey Montana will bring a fusion of American rock, folk, ragtime and old-time bluegrass to Tucker’s Music Pub in Norway on Saturday, Jan. 8. Known for his weekly improv jam at Gritty McDuff’s in Auburn, Montana is quick to embrace opportunities to play a variety of instruments and styles with other musicians. By contrast, this will be a solo show, demonstrating his thought-provoking songwriting style and unique perspectives on classic tunes, drawn from a repertoire spanning more than a century. Not a fan of set lists, Montana said he strives to “chase the muse” by living in the moment, never knowing what song he will play next or which styles he will draw on for his latest version of a particular song. Saturday’s show will begin at 8 p.m. There is no cover charge. Tucker’s Music Pub is at 290 Main St. For more information, call 739-2200.
