LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet will be held Jan. 27 at the Ramada Conference Center, 490 Pleasant St.

The social hour and cash bar will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 6 p.m.

Sponsored by Oxford Networks and TD Bank, the event reviews the accomplishments of the chamber and its members during the preceding year. Chamber members are invited to join fellow members to honor Androscoggin County’s top businesses and business and community leaders.

Among the members receiving awards in recognition of outstanding achievement in 2010 are Jim Wellehan of Lamey-Wellehan Shoes and Bruce Damon of Damon Mechanical Services for their extensive work promoting energy conservation. Both will receive the “Cool Chamber Award.”

Women, Work & Community will receive the Ken Additon Business Advocate Award. Peter Murphy of Neokraft Signs will receive the Ray Geiger Award, and President’s Awards will be presented to Dara Reimers of The Bread Shack and Jim Day and Nick Glicos of Martindale Country Club.
