LEWISTON — The YWCA of Central Maine will hold an American Red Cross babysitting plus course from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18; 1 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20.

The goal is to give students the proper skills to care for children safely. The course will teach babysitters professionalism; help develop skills in leadership, basic care, first aid skills, home indoor and outdoor safety and certification in child and infant CPR.

Cost is $75 for members and $85 for nonmembers and the course is open for boys and girls ages 11 to 15. Space is limited. For more information or to register, call the YWCA of Central Maine at 795-4050.
