Mountain events

RUMFORD — Weekend events at Black Mountain will include skiing/boarding from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, for $10.

There will be free ski/board and tubing from 4 to 9 p.m., sponsored by Pinetree Cellular and Advantage Insurance.

An adult dual GS race will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5. The Maine Ski Challenge will continue at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6.

The third annual Black Mountain Winterfest will run from Friday to Sunday, March 4 to 6. For more information, call the mountain at 364-8977.

Class lunch

Valentine dinner

RUMFORD — A Valentine’s dinner and dance will be held for members and guests on Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Elks Lodge 862.

Dinner will include boneless stuffed chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies, rolls, coffee and chocolate sweetheart cupcakes. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. Dancing will start at 7 p.m. The cost for dinner and dance is $12; dance only $6.
