FRYEBURG — The Fire Department quickly extinguished a small fire at Quinn’s Jockey Cap Country Store at 116 Bridgton Road on Wednesday afternoon. The cause is under investigation.
Fire Chief Andy Dufresne said it took five minutes for his crew to douse the fire.
“The damage was isolated to a rear-office area (and) smoke damage in the rest of the restaurant and food preparation area,” Dufresne said. “They are not going to open until they go through a cleaning process and recertification.”
He the owner of the store used a fire extinguisher on the small blaze before firemen arrived.
The fire remains under investigation, he said.
“They will be back open shortly,” Dufresne said. “Most of the damage was dry chemical fire extinguisher powder and a small amount of smoke damage.”
