Cal Thomas: Deep in the hearts of Texas babies
Abortion and refusing to take personal responsibility for one’s actions have contributed to a general coarseness and disrespect for life at all stages, as witnessed by the shooting sprees regularly occurring in Chicago and other major cities. The Texas and Mississippi laws seek to reverse, or at least slow down the process of squandering human life.
Eunice Stover: Mark 9/11’s 20th with focus on peace, amity
This week marks the 20th anniversary of the devastating attacks of 9/11. Much will be written and spoken about the horrors of that day, and most of us will reflect on where we were and what we thought when we heard of those attacks. An example is the military draft, to ensure that our military maintains sufficient numbers to protect our nation and way of life, if necessary. Thus, I was very surprised to read that […]
Cal Thomas: Not so easy summertime
There once were summertimes when the living was easy, as the song from the Broadway musical “Porgy and Bess” melodically reminds us. But not this summer, not with COVID-19 still spreading dangerously across the land and uncertainty over what happens next after the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan.
Froma Harrop: When only veterinary science will do
What could the U.S. Food and Drug Administration say to Americans who refuse to get a coronavirus vaccine administered by medical professionals but instead go to a livestock supply house for a drug designed to deworm horses and cows? Ivermectin in big animal doses can easily make a human sick and possibly dead.
