In the past, Double Bubble Laundromat received clean, donated coats to distribute to kids in need. Now they will be accepting and cleaning the donations themselves.

Leo Goddard covers Farmington and some of its surrounding towns. He recently graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a BFA in Creative Writing. His passion for writing was strengthened by the Longfellow Young Writers’ Camp and the Monson Arts Residency where he worked on his first novel. Aside from writing, his hobbies include singing, playing music, and making art.

New Vineyard PB secretary submits surprise resignation
At the New Vineyard Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday, Sept. 9, Planning Board Secretary Jamie McKechnie raised concerns about the processes and informalities being used by the Planning Board. When McKechnie felt these concerns were not being addressed, she handed in her letter of resignation.
