    Mike Averill of Alna brought in the 500th deer to be processed at Sabattus Deer Processing in Sabattus since the start of Maine deer season. Averill shot the seven-point buck Wednesday and brought the deer to be processed Thursday.

Business owner, Nancy Provost, said that the the business is only taking deer on a reservation system only because so many deer have been brought in. "We can only do so much with the limited number of people," said Provost.
