Auburn Middle School seventh-graders leave the start line Tuesday during The Great Pumpkin Run at the Auburn school. Tuesday was the 29th running of the annual event.
Steve "Mr. Rob" Robertson started The Great Pumpkin Run at Auburn Middle School in 1993. Next year's run, the 30th annual event, will be Robertson's last. "I hit 70 and I'm done," the 69-year-old said.

Derek Hart, 12, approaches the finish line Tuesday during The Great Pumpkin Run at Auburn Middle School. Hart is the first boy to break into the "all time best" list of the top 25 times that have been recorded over the past 29 years since the run started in 1993. The seventh-grader completed the .83 mile course in 5:23.6.
