Renard Carroll gives Alton "AJ" Johnson a shave and a haircut Tuesday in downtown Lewiston. Carroll, 37, has been cutting hair since he was 15 years old. "This ain't no profession," Carroll said, "but as you can see, I do a pretty good job." Both men are originally from Alabama but did not meet until moving to Lewiston.
Kayla Mayberry prepares Justin Richards for a blood donation at Lost Valley ski area in Auburn on Tuesday morning. Richards said he gives blood as often as he can, marking his calendar when he is next eligible. American Red Cross blood donations can be scheduled in advance online. The next blood drive at Lost Valley is Dec. 1.
Edwin Fogg keeps an eye on happenings in his downtown Lewiston neighborhood Tuesday. Fogg said he did not have much luck with the flowers he planted in the flower box outside his home, so he put American flags in the box instead. "Flags are not going to die on me," he said.
Aiden Morrison participates in a soccer drill with the Edward Little team on Tuesday afternoon in Auburn. The team has been breaking into small groups to rotate through drills in order to stay within the state's guidelines.
