Three solar energy companies challenge Mechanic Falls’ ordinance on annual inspections

The Town Council’s attorney advises it has legal authority for yearly checks.

Police say speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

Early reports were that 10 people were hurt in the wreck, some of them seriously. More than a half dozen ambulances were sent to the scene.

Authorities said the alleged assault stemmed from a dispute between Scott O’Donnell and a neighbor in May.

The move would align the town’s budget vote with the Regional School Unit 73 budget validation vote.

David Mockler of Lisbon is charged with escaping from the Androscoggin County Jail, stealing a vehicle and crashing it in Mechanic Falls in May.
