Members of the Teaberry Arts Council and area artists gathered on the Rumford Parks Walking Trail for Sunday’s Art Walk. Some 25 to 30 artists, magicians, performers, musicians and more entertained people during the five-hour event, the council’s first big event since its inception last fall.

Man found dead at Mexico standoff identified
The Maine State Police identified the man who died Sunday evening following a standoff with several police departments in Mexico. The victim was identified as Steven R. Bowling them over at age 90
Ralph Hazelton, who turns 90 on Aug. 15, is seen bowling a spare recently. He calls himself a lousy bowler, but still averages around 81 per game. He said he wants to bowl until he’s 100. Oxford Lanes owner Jamie Volkernick noted that Ralph is a bowling legend there.

The second annual Hit the Track for Black Mtn. took place from the Hosmer Field Complex on Aug 3. The 5K run/walk was held by the Friends of Black Mountain, a fundraiser for the Rumford ski area.
