Perham-Whittier was hired by Lucien Gosselin in 1982, and has seen 14 different mayors during her time at City Hall.

The event will highlight music, art, history, businesses, career opportunities, recreational opportunities, and more, and will conclude with an announcement of a 10-year sponsor for the field at Mike McGraw Park.

This year’s class marks the 20th for the youth council, which has supplied the city with campaigns focused on positivity, and given hundreds of teens insight into how municipal government operates.

Hope Rubito, chairwoman of the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council, is home-schooled because she was bullied.

The organization made up of high school students is recognized for its image and positivity campaigns.
