AUBURN – Pat Rohman has opened his new clock repair shop, Rohman Clockworks, at 721 Lake St. in Auburn after starting to serve the people of Lewiston/Auburn and the surrounding region in 2001.

Rohman offers repairs on clocks ranging from modern quartz movements to antique grandfather clocks.

“It’s very satisfying work,” states Rohman. “Many customers remark that hearing the family clock come back to life invokes memories of their childhood when the clock sat on their grandmother’s mantle. Some people remember when they used to rush to the cuckoo clock to see the little bird pop out of the door.”

Rohman, who apprenticed in Burlington, Vt., has been a member of the National Watch and Clock Collectors for more than 15 years. He is a graduate of The School of Clock Repair and Restoration based in North Carolina.

Free repair estimates are welcome by appointment.
