Bible conference

MEXICO – The Mexico First Baptist Church at 20 Roxbury Road will hold its annual Spring Bible Conference from Sunday, May 4, to Tuesday, May 6. The featured speaker will be Rev. David Miles of New York City, and his topic is “Revitalizing The Local Church.” Miles will speak in the Sunday service at 10:45 a.m., which will also include special music. A luncheon will be provided by the church at noon. Miles will also speak at 6 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, with special music by the Fishers of Men quartet, a local singing group. Miles works for Church Resource Ministries, an organization committed to working with leaders to strengthen and start churches around the world. His expertise is in church revitalization, and he specializes in working with churches in transition or in need of intervention. He has a doctoral degree in ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. He lives in Queens, New York City with his wife, Janet, and their three teenage daughters. The Rev. Robert Peters, pastor of Mexico First Baptist, invites the public to attend these meetings.
