HARTFORD – Leeds got its A-K Girls Softball League (12-Under) off to a good start with a 17-3 victory over Hartford. Cathering Rothie and Elizabeth Henry shared the pitching duties and were also the top sticks, Rothie going 3-3, including a home run, and Henry collecting 4 hits. LeAnn Abbott doubled for Hartford.

LEWISTON – The Andy Valley Softball Umpires Association will hold its monthly meeting Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. at Multi-Purpose Center.
