1943 – 2003
AUGUSTA – Richard R. Fillion, 59, of Prospect Street, Gardiner, died Saturday, May 17, at the MaineGeneral Medical Center.
Born in Lewiston, June 8, 1943, a son of Antole and Jeanette Pinard Fillion, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He served for 21 years retiring in 1984 as a master sergeant in-flight refueling technician. After retiring he pursued a career in auto service for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Debbie Woodard Fillion of Gardiner; two sons, David Fillion of Lewiston and Richard Fillion Jr. of Sabattus; two brothers, Paul Fillion of Merced, Calif., and Robert Fillion of Bangor; a sister, Nancy Bryant of Minot; three grandchildren, Richard Miles Fillion, Taylor Fillion and Christopher Fillion; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
