BETHEL – Alice Baker McAllister, 92, of Bethel died Thursday, May 22, at her home.
She was born in Gorham, N.H., on March 5, 1911, the daughter of Joseph C. and Florida Provencher Baker. She attended school in Gorham, N.H., and worked at Newton-Tebbetts in West Bethel. She loved beano and enjoyed the independence of driving her own car. She married George L. McAllister, he predeceased her.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty L. Hoyt of Conway, N.H.; three sisters, Dora Gardner of E. Waterford, Margaret Buck of Bethel and Yvonne Nowlin of Oxford; a brother, Pete Baker of Gorham; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
