HARTFORD – Residents turned out in record numbers Tuesday night to elect town officers.

Lee Holman won the race for selectman with 169 votes to David Kraske’s 147.

Incumbent Alan McNeil was re-elected road commissioner with 259 votes. Write-ins Jeremy Johnson and Dennis McNeil received one each.

A total of 318 of the 786 registered voters in Hartford went to the polls. Town Clerk Monica Mailly said the high turnout was due in part to Holman.

He called registered voters reminding them to get to the polls and offering a ride to those in need.

One person requested one, he said.

The annual town meeting is at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at the town hall.
