1928 – 2003

PORTLAND – Alberta Whittemore, 75, of Oxford, died Friday, June 27, at Maine Medical Center.

Born in Sweden, June 6, 1928, the daughter of Luther and Madeline Rice Kimball, she attended school in Sweden.

She worked at B.E. Cole, Francine Shoe and retired from Norway Footwear. She loved playing bingo with her many friends and also spending time with her children and grandchildren, with whom she was very close.

Survivors include a brother, Frank Kimball; a sister, Kathallen Clark; three sons, Ray Richards and his wife, Elaine of Norway, David Richards and his wife, Alice of Florida, and Kenneth Whittemore and his wife, Sheila of South Paris; two daughters, Debra Record and her husband, Vernon of Otisfield and Sharon Dutil and her husband, Bob of South Paris; grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Angela, Kenneth, Nicole, Lisa, Cody, Chelsea, Kaleb, Bruce and Kelly; and a great-grandchild, Mathew.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Richard; six sisters, Ethel, Mildred, Abbie, Louise, Gertrude and Leona; her father and mother; and a son, Ronald Whittemore.
