1945 – 2003

BANGOR – Roger Robert Normand, 57, of Bangor passed away on Thursday, June 27, at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Born on Aug. 23, 1945, the son of Wilbur and Andrienne (Desjardins) Normand, he graduated from Lewiston High School and Bentley College.

After college he served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He pursued a career in accounting with Amstar in New York City. In the late 1970’s, he returned to Maine to pursue his passion for photography. He worked at First Exposure in Bar Harbor, until he became brewmaster at the Atlantic Brewing Co. in Bar Harbor. He retired to the Bangor area three years ago.

He is survived by his mother; a sister, Constance Larochelle of Waterville; a brother, Paul Normand and his wife, Jean of Reading, Pa.; a special sister-in-law, Constance Normand of Lewiston; a brother-in-law, Richard Larochelle of Waterville; nine nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He was predeceased by his father; and a brother, Richard Normand.
