1921 – 2003
LEWISTON – Roger J. Henault, 81, a resident of 550 College St., Lewiston, and formerly of Auburn, died early Saturday morning at Montello Manor following a long illness.
He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 9, 1921, the son of John and Regina Labbay Henault.
He was a 1942 graduate of Edward Little High School, and was a member of their 1941 State Championship football team which was just inducted into the Lewiston Auburn Sports Hall of Fame.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was also a member of Post 153 of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, the former Stella Howaniec of Lewiston; one son, Gary Henault, and one daughter, Linda Henault, both of Auburn; one sister, Mary Labbay of Massachusetts; and one grandson, Brian O’Hearn of Auburn.
