Book sale

WILTON – The annual summer book sale at Wilton Free Public Library will be held during the Blueberry Festival. The sale will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2. The Saturday time has been changed due to the parade that will be held Saturday morning and the street will be closed. A raffle to benefit the handicapped access fund is also set up at the library. Tickets prices are $1 for one or $5 for 6. The annual Adopt-a-Book program is going on at this time as well. These books stay in the library collection. You adopt the book by donating the cost of the book, ask for a certain bookplate to be added “in memory of” or “for my grandchildren” or similar remembrances. This is a lasting legacy for the library and helps to add funds to he Children’s Book budget. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Residents are reminded that the library wll be closed Aug. 2 because of the Blueberry Festival Parade. For more information, please call the library at 645- 4831.
