DIXFIELD – Tuesday morning marked the first meeting of Ludden Memorial Library’s Board of Trustees without head librarian Justy Nazar.
On July 30, Town Manager Nanci Allard stepped up Nazar’s resignation by a month.
Since then, Allard has received resumes from seven people interested in the job. She gave the applications to trustees Tuesday and advised the board to quickly form a hiring committee, which they did.
The group, which consists of two trustees, a Dixfield resident, Allard and a third person who had yet to be contacted, will review the applications at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the library.
The applicants are from Rumford, Livermore, Sanford, Greenville Junction, and the remaining two are from Birmingham, Ala., and Medina, Ohio.
