LEEDS – The Rural Community Action Ministry will hold its 33rd annual meeting on Monday, Sept. 15, at its offices at 81 Church Hill Road.

The agenda includes a regular meeting with ratification of the newly revised bylaws and election of the new board as presented by the Nominating Committee. Guests are welcome. The Rural Community Action Ministry is a private, nonprofit organization that has provided services to vulnerable rural families since 1970.

“We work with people to meet their basic needs for safe and adequate shelter, clothing, food and basic well-being in a manner that maintains or improves their self-worth and dignity,” said Sue Patneaude, executive director of the organization.

The RCAM is a group of dedicated people whose spiritual, personal and cultural beliefs lead them to help others. The ministry offers a Faith in Action Program which recruits and trains local volunteers to provide transportation, telephone reassurance and other services to the elderly and disabled, among other things.
