ORONO – Heather Hathorn converted a feed from Kate Crawford at 3:41 of the first half for the only goal needed as the University of Maine handed Stony Brook College a 3-0 setback in America East Conference soccer action Sunday.
The Black Bears (10-1-1) Jen Buckley and Erin Corey each added a goal to put the game out of reach as Tanya Adorno needed only four saves to record the shutout victory.
