1954 – 2003

POLAND – Errol G. Brackett, 49, died unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, Oct. 19.

He was born to R. Maynard and Ethelyn Brackett in Lewiston on July 7, 1954. He graduated from Gorham State Teachers College in 1976. He student taught a semester in England.

He belonged to the Unitarian Universalist Church in Auburn. He was a past chairman of the Poland selectmen, a past member of the Poland planning board, a past member of the American Morgan Horse and Maine Morgan Association.

He was a member of the ASCA. He worked for the Maine Turnpike for 29 years. He was a member of the health and safety committee for the TPK. As a young man he worked at the Breakers in Florida.

He is survived by his father, Maynard of Poland; a sister, Geraldine Walsh and her husband Michael of Poland; a brother, Vaughn of Poland Spring, a brother, Gayland and wife Dawn of Bethel; several aunts and uncles; a niece; two nephews; two great-nephews; and many cousins; as well as his beloved horses, Braty and Star.

He was predeceased by his mother, Ethelyn on May 4, 2002.
