BANGOR – The Newcomen Society of the United States is recognizing Webber Energy Fuels in honor of the company’s achievement as a creative, dynamic wholesale and retail heating oil company with an excellent history of environmental security and responsibility.

The Newcomen Society has been recognizing Maine companies since 1948.

Webber Energy Fuels is only the second petroleum company to be honored.

Webber Oil was founded in 1935 by A. E. Webber, a former livestock and timber trader. Today, Webber Energy Fuels family of companies has more than $275 million in annual sales with a payroll of over $20 million.

Webber Energy Fuels has an office in Auburn and a brake service and parts location in Lewiston.
