1929 – 2003

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Gabrielle Marie Casey, 74, a resident of Rumford, died in Clearwater, Fla., on Saturday, Nov. 1, after a short illness.

Born in Rumford, March 24, 1929, the daughter of Henry and Jeanne (Roberts) Blouin, Mrs. Casey attended the local schools of Rumford.

On May 16, 1953 Mrs. Casey married Laurence Casey in Rumford. Together they had four children and owned and operated Corner Lunch and then Gene’s Drive Inn in Rumford. Mr. Casey died on May 11, 1983.

Mrs. Casey was a member of St. Athanasius and St. John’s parish. After her retirement she enjoyed spending the winters in Florida. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She leaves two daughters, Cynthia Bright and her husband, Gary of Wilton and Francine Dragoon and her companion, Wayne Butler of Rumford; two sons, Larry Casey and his wife, Joan of Pittsfield and Gene Casey and his wife, Andrea of Mexico; 10 grandchildren; three sisters; and three brothers.

She was predeceased by two brothers.
